A Little Fun for a Good Cause!

We bought tickets to enjoy an evening with friends, eat dinner with famous rugby players, watch a crazy sky show and raise money for a local Guernsey Charity.  Not a bad reason to get dressed up on Friday night.

A wonderful fancy evening ended with a 2am dance party.  Aren't we too old for this?

The Donkeys Hit the Pier

All 42 donkeys were on display along Crown Pier for one day before "going on parade" all over Guernsey.  It was quite a site to see!

Thanks Monika and Daiga for not letting me forget how old I am!

The Birthday that Never Ends

The celebration for the big 30 started in Dallas then continued in Ohio, Herm and Guernsey.
It was a month full of fun!

Josh taking a quick nap before whipping up an unbelievable birthday dinner.

My present from Josh was a spa day at the OGH.  It was much needed after the opening of the new M&S store.  We were pampered with massages, facials, lunch, afternoon tea and use of all the spa and outdoor pool facilities.

Big Weekend!

The evening that I had been working toward since I was hired finally arrived...the Grand Opening party of M&S.  After months and months of planning, with live models in the windows and live mannequins on the shop floor, 500+ people flew through the doors at exactly 6:00 sharp and guzzled bottles of champagne, ate catered finger foods, listened to live saxophone, rode the first escalator in Guernsey and did a bit of shopping.  It was a successful party and Chad flew all the way from Dallas to celebrate with all of Guernsey!

The brand new store before all the chaos began...

A champagne toast with all the staff before doors opened to the public.

 Guests gathering outside.

The ribbon cutting ceremony by two of the oldest members of staff.  Both have worked for the Creaseys for over 40 years.

Finally when things started to wind down, I could enjoy myself and have a few glasses of champagne.

Our store, quayside.

The next day, we were all moving a little slow, but the weather was
beautiful so we took Chad on a cliff walk.

We ended his stay with a nice tapas dinner and some live music at one of our favorite spots.
