Fruit & Vegetable Bus Party

One of our good guy friends left the Rock and moved over to Jersey.  For his going away party, we all dressed up as fruit and vegetables (his chosen theme) and did an island wide pub crawl on the local 7 bus.  Unfortunately, we only made it half way around the island due to the bus timetable, but ended up in Town to finish off the night.

The Strawberry Patch and the Banana

The Watermelon

Taking over the patio at the Deerhound

The airport- only in Guernsey can a group of 20 fruit and vegetables head
straight to the bar and not get arrested!

The entire group outside of the Imperial.  Josh was a Mexican Chile Pepper.

The banana and I teamed up and kicked some butt at Foosball.
Mom and dad that Foosball table was a great investment!

On the bus headed back into Town after about 9 stops.

Ending the night at the Crow's Nest.

Cobo Beach BBQ

We enjoyed our first "proper" Guernsey beach BBQ a few weeks ago.  Mid June, and the weather can't seem to break 70.  Warm enough to be on the beach, but not in a swimsuit.  I think I am going to have a permanent tank top tan line.  We played every British sport possible including rugby and rounders and then we got to freshen up our sand volleyball skills.  And as always, on the bike ride home, we had to make a stop at the pub.

The Pink Ladies Sunset Walk

Over 2,000 women came together for the 10.6 mile sunset walk along the coast of Guernsey to support Breast Cancer.  We started at 6pm, made a few pit stops along the way (mainly for rose wine...seemed fitting) and ended up in Market Square dancing to an ABBA cover band.  The color pink took over the entire island for the evening.  What a great event for an important cause!
