Spring Has Sprung!

Everyone says that after you experience a spring/summer in Guernsey, you will never want to leave.  Thankfully, spring came early this year...someone knew our Vitamin D levels were severely depleted.  The first day the sun came out and the temperature reached the mid 50's, we hit the beach...literally.   Josh and I spent a day at Cobo, reading, having a picnic and actively trying to get rid of the grayish skin color that we have picked up over the last 6 months.

Then on to a night out with friends...as always, it included rugby watching and shots.

Cheers to Spring!

Visitors in Guernsey!

FIRST CAME KATE (and the babe in the belly)!  We spent four days showing her all that Guernsey has to offer!  Plenty of girl time, hiking, shopping, eating, chatting, laughing and celebrating!

Friday night was spent at our favorite happy hour spot- La Piette

Saturday morning at Cobo Beach

While the girls were enjoying our Saturday afternoon, Josh was studying and sunning in the back yard.

Then we watched Columbia lose (in a shoot out) at the annual PWC World Cup Tournament

And finished the evening at another favorite spot- Dix Neuf.

AND THEN CAME OUR COUSIN CORY & TOM!

Sunday started with another hike and a quick stop off at the local swimming pool.  Almost warm enough to swim for the Americans, plenty of locals diving in (high 50's).

Wine & cheese at Jerbourg Point.

Our picnic spot- can't beat that view!

Sailing practice in the distance.

Sunday ended with a dinner at #12, The Oaks.

Monday was the tour of Town,

the charming streets,

the marina,

Castle Cornet,

Candie Gardens,

AND the famous Little Chapel (still laughing from this experience)!

Literally LITTLE.  Made from broken pieces of China.

The celebrating and wrap up of the trip was done with tapas and fondue at White D'Or.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE!

Thanks to you three for visiting our cute little home overseas!  We love visitors and you are welcome anytime!  Love you Kate and sad to see you go. XO
