London- For Work & Play
After a week in Dallas, I flew back to Guernsey for a day then turned right back around to spend a week in London for work. I attended the Marks & Spencer International Marketing Managers workshop then joined my co-workers for the Buying/Merchandising Conference for Men's, Women's, Children's and Home ware. There were over 12 countries represented and for the majority of attendees, English was not their first language...or even their second. It was a very neat experience to say the least.
And it just so happened that Josh was in London for work the same time I was, so we spent the weekend enjoying the city...
...and the rain.
Once we were both cold and wet, we ducked into a rowdy pub for the England vs. France Rugby match.
Sunday morning, during our fifth trip to London, we finally saw the sun! The view from Josh's flat overlooking SOHO and Convent Garden.
And an hour later the sun was gone and it was back to sightseeing in the rain.
St. Paul's Cathedral.
The London Bridge.

Back to the Big D
My wonderful husband gave me the best Christmas present ever and sent me back to Dallas to visit my favorite people- my sister and Ryan, my parents, MOLLIE and my girlfriends. Thanks to Josh for the plane ticket, to Kate & Ryan for hosting and my parents for making the trip from Madison to Dallas.
It was a packed week full of dancing, cuddling, reading books in bed, baking, soaking up the sun and celebrating. I celebrated Valentines Day with the second and third most chocoholics, behind myself, my sister and Mollie! We celebrated my amazing father's 60th birthday and we welcome little James (although not so little) into the world the day before I flew out.
I visited all of the Dallas restaurants that I have been missing, got my fix of ranch dressing, peanut butter and blood orange mimosas, watched my favorite show The Bachelor with my mom, did my favorite spin class with the best music ever with Kate, was introduced to the best cupcakes in the world thanks to Ryan, got the best cuddles from Mollie and replenished my Vitamin D (thankfully the random Dallas snow hit the week before I arrived and it returned to 70 and sunny the moment I stepped off the plane)!
Gotta love the new expression!
Mollie teaching me how to be a ballerina, I just need the tutu. She is much more graceful then I am!
Comment of the week from Mollie..."We are silly!"
Attack of the sprinkles.
Morning trip to the zoo. My favorite, the elephants!
The ballerina at happy hour.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my father! 60 years of amazing-ness! Presents and cake so Mollie could participate before bed, then steak and wine at Al's!
The name of the his new sailboat, The Cutty Jark.
The funniest thing I have ever seen...a bunch of 3 year olds in ballet. The flamenco dancer is Mollie.
Girls day out...pedis and the hugest glass of wine ever!
Love and miss you so much. Thanks for an amazing week! xo
